Construction Progress Update: Houghton, Stockbridge
We’re excited to share the latest construction progress update for Houghton, Stockbridge – a landmark residential development by Fortitudo Property.
Substructure Developments
The foundation work for these six new Hampshire homes is progressing smoothly, with key milestones already achieved:
- Plots 1 and 2: The substructure has been completed up to the block and beam stage, providing a strong base for the next phase of construction.
- Plots 3, 4, 5, and 6: Piling work has been completed, ensuring stability and solid ground for these homes.
- Plot 3: Block and beam flooring is currently in process, with progress being made towards the next stage of development.
- Plots 4 and 5: Steel beams have been fitted, and concrete will soon be poured, after which substructure blockwork will be laid to further progress these plots.
- Plot 6: Excavation of the foundations is planned for the near future, ensuring that all plots are ready for the next steps.
All plots have had the substructure drainage installed and tested, ensuring the groundwork is solid and ready for future construction phases.
Building Control & Structural Warranty Approvals
We are pleased to confirm that all plots have received the necessary sign-offs from ICW (Structural Warranty) and MC Plan (Building Control), guaranteeing that the project is adhering to high standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
Groundworks & Future Milestones
Our groundworks team is working diligently on several key tasks:
- Excavation of the attenuation tank is set to begin soon, followed by the installation of storm and foul drainage, which will be completed shortly after.
- Once the drainage work is complete, the base coat tarmac will be laid on the road, paving the way for the completion of the site’s infrastructure.
We anticipate the first phase of groundworks to be completed early in the new year, setting the stage for the superstructure build.
