Construction at Rothesay House officially began in early 2024, with Blanchard Wells leading the groundwork phase. By September 2024, Fortitudo’s construction team took over, starting the main Metsec frame from the first floor. Since then, we’ve made swift progress, with new floors being added every 12 days. We are on track to complete the seventh floor in early 2025, marking a key milestone in the project timeline.
Efficient Construction Methods & Advanced Techniques
To ensure a quick build without compromising quality, we’ve implemented a quick-build strategy at Rothesay House. This includes the delivery and installation of bathroom pods for the first, second, and third floors. This streamlined approach is helping us stay on track as we progress with masonry work and prepare for Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) contractors to begin their work in early 2025.
Key Milestones & What’s Next for Rothesay House
Looking ahead, we’re on track to have the roof watertight by early February 2025, enabling us to begin the internal fit-out. Our goal is to complete the building by July 2025, so it’s ready for the student intake in September 2025.
