With much excitement for the first game of the new year the Bedouin line up was looking good. With the addition of a couple of gents returning from injury we took to the field.
The game started with a pretty evenly matched to and fro and some resilience on defence from The Bedouins which saw Poole opt to kick for posts when the got an early penalty and gave Poole a 3 point lead. The Bedouins swiftly responded with a converted try where Matthew Cooper playing wing carved his way through the opposition to dot down and Jason Cook saw his great kicking form continued.
After a wave of attack on the Bedouin’s line from Poole, they got another penalty and once again chose to kick making it 7- 6 to the home side.
Just before the break saw Poole score a converted try off a quick tap penalty taking them into the lead at the break 13-7
The Bedouins regrouped at half time and came out to score 17 unanswered points to finish the game 24-13 victors. A monumental defensive effort in the2nd half saw Poole opt to kick all penalties awarded to them for posts. Matthew Cooper bagging a brace and Lewis Nicholls and Adam getting 1 each. Jason Cook converting 2 of the 4 tries.
