As of Week 39 of construction at Rothesay House, the development is progressing at a rapid pace. This student accommodation in Bournemouth is on track, with roof construction set to begin this week as we approach a significant milestone: making the building weather tight.

External Progress of Student Accommodation in Bournemouth

  • The metal frame is nearing completion, with work on the 7th floor scheduled for this week. Once finished, roof construction will commence using roofing cassettes for streamlined logistics.
  • Scaffolding is now almost complete, and masonry work has progressed to the 4th floor.
  • The main reception and front entrance feature stonework are now fully completed.

Internal Progress

  • Temporary weatherproofing has been installed on four floors, allowing internal work to continue while the permanent roof is being finalised.
  • Most of the bathroom pods have now been installed, significantly accelerating the internal fit-out process.
  • Mechanical and electrical installations have advanced from the ground floor up to the third floor.
  • Lightweight metal walls have made steady progress throughout the building.
  • Fire safety and general production are advancing efficiently.
